Any recommendations? I do NOT want a canned hunt for sure. Would rather not shoot anything. Does not have to be a record book deer but would like a respectable one.

Desert Safaris or Wildlife Systems or Longfellow Ranch. All have great deer and are expensive with a waiting list. But you won't be disappointed.

What are you defining as a canned hunt? Wheat fields that have mule deer bucks showing up almost that you could set your watch by? Protein/corn feeders that bucks come to that you could almost set your watch by? If this is the case, you want to make sure you are very specific with the outfitter that you want a pure spot and stalk hunt in native pasture. This is the type I do and it is very fun and rewarding. PM me if you are interested in hunting a pasture on the Pitchfork. We have some great MD bucks. Just shot one last week that scored 202. This would not be guided though. It would be a season lease. But the cost is probably less than what you'll pay for guided.

What budget are you working with? Budget is open depending on what I'm can expect to kill. Like everyone else I'm looking for the best hunt for the cheapest price. :-)

Only in texas? Sagebrush hunts posts some very impressive bucks on here from Kansas. I think the members name is jeremyKS
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.
