Was at the Ox Ranch this weekend. This is their blind they spent between 80-100,000 bucks on. It's worth the drive from my ranch just to see that and the tanks. http://www.oxhuntingranch.com/hunting/giant-hunting-blind/

That's not hunting, that's waiting. No. That is the deer hunting you...no matter what you hunt out of or where you hunt. It is all the same. I am just glad Payne never patented his "Funnel Pee Delivery Device" best thing I ever did was build a Mini Septic under my stand with a funnel and a water hose attached to a Spring... I am considering a upper bed in mine so I can get some Beauty Rest while Lovie glasses for Deer

I wouldn't mind making one like that using one of those metal storage containers.

Does it have a swiveling recliner? After looking at the pictures, $80k seems like way too much.

I've hunted, played poker and drank Whiskey out of that blind and I highly recommend it!

Id hate to have to move a blind like that!
Always thought it would be neat but don't think I have ever found a spot I like enough to go through the hassle, but still looking.

That's not hunting, that's waiting. I spent over 30 years packing deer, elk, tents and food up and down mountains in the west because that's how I preferred to do it. Now a few days of hunting/waiting in comfort don't sound too bad to me. There's room in our sport for both . Baker Yes Sir...Sound like me with Tents...I am NOT sleeping in a Tent when there can be a perfectly good Marriott close by X2 I'm not a tent sleeper either. Love hunting and the outdoors as much as the next guy but when it comes to being comfortable I'm gonna do what it takes to make sure it happens. Don't yall get bent out of shape That was partially tongue and cheek. I just spent a week covering hundreds of miles on a ranch hunting for mule deer. But if someone invited me to hunt whitetail from a blind, cook supper on a fire, and drink beer and whiskey till way too late at night I'd ask what they need me to bring.

When I build my newest blind (which has a foot or two of water at the base of it right now) I added a few luxuries. I deer and pig hunt from the same blind, so i wanted it set up for all-nighters. The box blind was built for scent control, so with the plexiglas windows closed, it is very close to air tight. I have an air intake vent, that can be closed, at the very bottom and a 25' vent pipe that vents from the peak of roof. This hopefully gets any scent way up high, so it disperses. (Since the bottom of the 25' vent stack is buried in the sand, the stack is also were the pee tube drains to.) While temperature differential creates a pretty decent draft up the vent pipe, I also have a 12 volt ultra-quiet fan to really move the air up that stack if I need it. I built a little gravity feed swamp cooler, that can hang from the lower intake vent, but it needs a bigger water reservoir or a hand pump. I have a 20 watt solar panel on the vent pipe, a charge controller, and a pair of batteries. White and red lights permanently mounted on the inside (they are below the bottom of the windows). Two LED IR illuminators mounted on the outside. 12 volt 'cigarette lighter' outlets for my cell phone charger and a little 12 volt heating blanket for my feet. A little propane heater when its really cold, a few snacks, and a little whiskey and I'm good for the night. I have a hook on the wall that my swivel office chair can be hung on, allowing just enough room to stretch out on the carpeted floor, with my feet propped on the battery rack. Now that I have it, I wonder why I roughed it all those years . Maybe santa will bring me satellite dish and a small flatscreen
We all need to practice Whoa more.

Leased land in Llano county for over 20 years. Across our south fence was a stand we called 'The condo' on the neighbor's place. During off-season one year I crossed and went a looked at it. Guy had a recliner and a comfy swivel chair, generator, hot-plate and a small TV and a gas heater. It was about 12' wide and 18' deep. To our north, some folks built a blind we called 'The Smoke Tower'. It was about 60' above the ground on top of telephone poles and looked like a smoke-spotter tower in a National Forest. That one finally blew down about 15 years ago. Never did look inside that one. The thing had a porch on all 4 sides wide enough to sit in your lounge chairs and relax.
