While bow hunting this weekend, this fox wandered past me, and I decided I didn't want to shoot it, and video instead. I think it is a red fox, but looks mostly grey... can one of you experts chime in? grey or red? in Lometa Texas

Def a grey. A red will not have any grey at all. All red w/ some white and black

Greys outnumber reds by a lot. You will very rarely see a red.

Def a grey. A red fox will have a white tip on it's tail, even if the body is not real red. Neat video!

Neat video....had an experience with one at my uncles ranch outside Lampasas (Adamsville)...we were driving around checking feeders in my F-250....it was in a pasture about 40 yds away chasing mice....we set and watched for probable 5 minutes without it giving us a second thought....kool experience...very neat critters....

There are some reds in norhern Burnet County, near Copperas Cove. I have a pic of a dead one on 2657 near Dilingham Loop, that I took a couple months ago. Around 2001 or 02, there was a red female in that same area. I saw her several times and she had given birth the last time I saw her.

I have a pair of grey fox I see nearly every night I hunt in e. Texas I have been observing them for three years now, usually bring them a big ziplock of bones from home.
