Got out with 3 of my 4 brothers and I tagged my first duck. a big beautiful Mallard, there were a few flying but thats the only one who got in range. i learned a lot:
1- my calling is getting a lot better
2- my oldest brother couldnt shoot anything to save his life, but it sure saved the lives of several ducks 3- and never walk point, its always better to let others go swimming in the cold lake.

Your third point is dead on, taken a few dips myself because I always walk ahead of everyone. I walk really fast for some reason, or their really slow.

being cold is fine, being wet is fine BUT being wet and cold at the same time sucks.
the whole area was flooded out so on the way to our perch you didnt know if the next step was going to be another knee deep step or a chest deep as we walked through the woods.
