I killed a 5 1/2 footer on the way in to the ranch Friday night about 8PM. They're still out en mass in Webb County.

We killed three this weekend at our place with the warmer weather; one on the road, one in the barn and one at camp.

Out in Wallacy county...we killed 3 last week.

I'm 5'6" short...I mean tall. I probably blew almost a foot off of him because I couldn't exactly see where his head was when I shot him. It was still pretty dark. I followed him into the brush. And yes, we skinned him and we are going to eat him next week at camp. I'd like to put the skin on a board, but I don't know anything about tanning the skin. This is in Starr County.
