After much deliberation on which choke and shot to test for the next turkey season, I finally decided to go with Trulock chokes and their shot specific constrictions. I finally got to pattern 3 different shotguns and the results were way better than I had hoped for. I will try to post pics this weekend and an explanation of the results, Trulock will be my choke company from now on.

Trulock makes a great choke.

I use a Trulock choke in both my 10 and 12 gauge with the Federal Heavyweight and Flite Control wad. It is devastating...like being hit with Thor's hammer. I used Nitro ammo for years, but have switched to all Federal Heavyweight.

I used the Long Beard XR #6 choke from Trulock and the Long Beard XR #6 ammo from my Mossberg 935 and it was devastating on the target. That same choke and ammo for my Remington 870 did very well also. I used the Trulock Heavyweight #7 choke and ammo from my Charles Daly 20 gauge and was really excited about how well it performed and I could easily use it for turkey hunting with no problem. I looked into the Trulock chokes on your suggestion GMan.

This is my first time to use Trulock chokes and I am very, very pleased with the results and feel that it was money well spent.

No turkey walking away from any of those patterns..and that Federal Heavyweights hits them so hard. Heads bounce off the ground.

Even the 20ga. with the Federal heavyweight #7 choke and shot would knock one down to the dirt!!! I am sold on Trulock chokes.
