OP Deerhunter61 THF Trophy Hunter D Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 7,806 DFW	Guys, I'm curious about the cost and location for trophy low fence lease. Just to qualify what I consider a "trophy". Mature means at least 4 years old and 150+ class buck. What type of leases produce these kind of bucks? How many hunters per X acres? Protein feed a must? Feed year around? Etc...

Deerhunter, with a consistent chance to realistically harvest that class buck year-year, I'm going to throw out an avg. per gun price of $4,000-6,000 with an additional $2,000 in miscellaneous costs including protein feeding, etc..Again, I am basing this projection on having a chance to harvest a trophy year-year. You can get opportunities on lesser cost places but probably not year-year-year, IMO.

I think the above pricing is a about right for a ttrophy lease. But, most good leases are filled by word of mouth, so there are a few leases that produce big bucks and the prices are still below the average.
