That's awesome!
My buddy that i Elk hunt with, hunts whitetails in Illinois, that is all they can hunt with!

I was wondering the same thing...do a bunch of damage (expansion or tumbling) or just punch a big hole.... Regardless, nice buck with a nice gun.....

Please, please pardon my ignorance- but,is it buckshot that you use as ammo? Sorry, not familiar with this. But I had customers tell me that they had to hunt deer in Michigan with shotguns.

That's poke with a slug! Awesome job. Love acorn on the tine. Congrats. How far do you think you could actually take a shot at and be effective. You passed what some can do with a rifle. Lol

Congrats on a very nice buck. I too purchased a New England Single shot twenty guage several years ago to hunt on public land. I had to play around with it but it gets less than two inch groups at 100 yards. They have really come along way with slug guns.

Lol The scope is a Nikon for slug guns and matches the Hornady ballistics perfectly. It has the BDC out to 200 yards. The gun is Remington 11-87 and I'm getting 4 inch groups at 200 yds. Now, I don't know if that's good or not. I used the 200 yds marking in the scope and hit him a little high behind the shoulder(first pic you can see the high hit). I was shooting off a trigger stick out of pop up blind. I don't take credit for the shot it was the gun/scope/ammo combo. I wouldn't hesitate to take any shot out to 200 yds.

Impressive shot and buck!
We kept it as a pet for several months until it got run over by a truck. Then we ate him.
