I had a Bewick's Wren fly into a box blind and sit on knee for several seconds before realizing I was a person and exiting quickly.

I also had a cardinal land on my gun barrel while sitting in full camo in a brush blind with my rifle up on sticks.

I was hunting in a different box blind once, which had a roof made of corrugated metal laid down on a sheet of plywood, so there were tiny spaces between the bumps of the metal and the plywood. At dark, I started hearing all kinds of crazy scratching and skittering from the roof, and looked up out the window to see a steady stream of bats flying out of the tiny spaces! I hunted there the next morning, and watched them all come back in for the day as it got light. Definitely interesting, and I was surprised so many bats could fit in such small spaces...

Had a buzzard try to land on me. He was mad at me when I told him his seat was taken.

My buddy told me a story about a ringtail in his blind that ran out across his arm to get out while he was getting in. It sounded like a tall tail because I had never seen a Ringtail before. Sure enough when I was getting in the same blind there was a Ringtail in it. So I poked at it with a stick and held firm and it ran right by me and down the ladder. If I hadn't heard the story it would have freaked me out!

An owl flew into my blind one evening. Scared the crap out of me and the pop-up blind was destroyed.

Terrible cell phone pic but this guy wanted in my blind last weekend. Hit the window and then made a few laps around the blind. I was surprised he didn't come in cause there were several open windows, just not the one he chose. Scared me enough to spill my frosty beverage. Cool looking owl and perched at 10 feet away gave me a chance to really watch his movements.

Positive thinking may not solve all your problems but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Had a wood pecker fly in an open window land on my shoulder and then dart back out while I was trying to catch an afternoon nap.
