Well I haven't seen a deer since the one I took opening weekend. Heard my neighbor shoot one yesterday while I was out here. Sure wish it wasn't 82 degrees today, but my iSolunar says I'm four antlers today so hopefully something will come out before dark.

Keep us posted. I'll be out there tomorrow evening. Like you - I haven't even seen a deer since opening weekend.

Pretty quiet so far. I was thinking about something as I sit here in silence. One thing I miss about hunting in Wisconsin was the squirrels on the leaves. Even if you never saw any deer, there was several times throughout the day your adrenaline shot through the roof thinking a monster buck was walking around behind you, only to find out it was a squirrel running in the dead fallen leaves...lol

A lot can happen in the last hour and half of light though

I HATE the squirrels for that very reason. We have lots of them in east Texas

Nothing again. I'm not even seeing deer on the drive out or home and that's always good for atleast 5 or so each way

^^^^^^^^^^Gray squirrels, Fox squirrels and Armadillos!

To me, they don't sound like deer, deer have a 'cadence' when they walk, but they sure sound like hogs...at least from a distance.

Spartans ask not...how many, but where!
