I usually do 2 deer or hogs max at one time, once or twice a year. Have used my #32 hand crank grinder to stuff for years but think its to get a dedicated stuffer. Any input appreciated. Looking to be in the $200-$300 range and right now leaning towards this one. The made in China part bugs me.

Not sure if I need 15# capacity but sounds right.

I just bought one the other day at Gander Mountain. It has their label on it but looks identical to that one! I got the smallest one(5 lber) for a C note. I think many of them are made by the same company and branded for the various sporting goods stores.

Had a chance to use it yet? I have a $20 off coupon to Northern Tool. Thinking about picking up the Kitchner 15#. Should put me right at $200 otd. Seems like 5# would be a little on the small side if you're churning out 50# of sausage. Again though, I have never used a dedicated stuffer so it might be fine.

This weekend, I'll put her to use. I thought I should get the larger one but after doing it several years with just my meat grinder I'll be fine with the 5lber. It will be a marked improvement.

That one there looks like it will work. IMO, as long as it has metal gears it will be ok. I have the LEM 15 #'r, works great. The reason I got the bigger one is because normally when I make sausage I make a lot, so less stopping to reload.

I received a 5lb one as a gift a while back. Personally, I'd recommend going with something bigger, 10lbs +.

Ordered the Kitchener 15# and it arrived yesterday. Looks pretty good for the money. Unfortunately the deer didn't cooperate last weekend and show up to get shot so it might be a little bit before I get to use it. Will update once I do.

If you don't have a meat mixer that is also something that makes large volumes of sausage making significantly easier. You will love the 15# stuffer!

I'd have to say now after trying to make snack sticks. DO NOT GO WITH A 5 pounder!

Academy has the LEM 10lb stuffer on closeout for about $225.00 that's about $75.00 off and their quality is very good, no plastic gears or crank shaft.
