I replaced the battery this morning. After getting the cover back on and wire tying the bandit cage I went for a walk about. The spinner started up before I got too far away. It never shut off bang. Ran back and undid it all and took the battery out. Luckily I have a complete new feeder in the barn that I can set next to the broken one.

If you have hogs, they should love that water hole soon LOL

Good thing you caught it thought!

roflmao yup. The pen is a train wreck. Actually half of it I've taken down. Pigs gotta eat too.

There is a 'real' pen the other direction from my stand.

Coons gnawed on the plate and took off the whacker knob things that fling the corn. The pigs are ok with it.

I accidentally reversed the wires on a feeder once and it just ran continually until I disconnected it. Put it back right and it worked fine. I figure if I ever want to empty the feeder by myself I can do it again and move the feeder or whatever I want to do.

I agree with MathP. You probably had your wires reversed.

Hopefully you two are correct. I'll try it again. I did fish my readers out of the truck though to avoid just this possible error. (+) post in corner of battery. (-) post in center of the battery. Red on positive.

panels are working great! Seems to be keeping the ones you separated out to fatten up before slaughtering from roaming off with the others!!!

I encountered a few wild spinners in my younger days. Always a good time.

The legs are tied to rebar. I did leave it over night once when I forgot the stakes. It was tumpted the next morning...
