That's a big bird! Saw quite a few last week in Garwood on our goose hunt. I can only image what they sound like hitting the group! Nice work!

How did you set up for them? Did you use decoys and a blind?

No Blind or decoys , just scouted the day before to see what time they flew over our ranch and where . Scouting is everything I agree Dan. When I am in blind deer hunting or moving around filling feeders and checking cameras I can see a couple spots where they are coming in low enough to have a decent shot. Then I have to decide if I drove 4 hours to deer hunt or crane hunt next morning. When we are out there right after the wheat is planted we have been able to decoy them a little bit with silo socks painted gray but we are still better off trying to get in position to pass shoot. What type of rounds are you using if you don't mind my asking?

I'm about to tell you something that will really make you mad......
The Thighs are AWESOME White Meat! Taste like Rabbit fried or pulled apart and put in a Stew.
The legs are Ok, they have to be pulled apart and quick fried in Fajita's.
Bet you don't throw the next ones away......
Denny
