I know of the skullhooker and other hardware, but they usually run about $20. Is there a cheap alternative that I can use from home depot, or should I just buy one of the more expensive ones? I wasn't sure if a normal hook would do the job properly.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

If you don't want to mount it to a plaque then a long nail or screw will work

I coat hook would also work. Just make sure the top part of the coat hook ball will fit in the brain cavity.
