A friend just got back. He was hunting on family land of a college roommate. This was just this past weekend, just him and 3 of his buddies.

He is 2nd from right.

LOL, I don't think there was much competition with this group. Nobody even measured the deer taken. the big one had 18 points. This was just 4 old college buddies getting together for a hunt. My friend told me they waited 7 years to all get the permits, and they hunted hard all week. Family land of one of the guys, not hunted much, not managed, all free range, natural, take-em-as-you-find-em hunting.

Wow those are some nice mule deer. The biggest one is easily a 200 in. Mule deer and the one on the end has the biggest brow tine I've ever seen on a deer period!

I saw the deer you referenced when it was taken to the processor. The rack was much larger and higher than it appears in the picture. The body was huge and it filled the bed of a Tacoma-it had to weigh over 250 pounds.

Wow, sounds and looks like a great time and like they may have been hunting without blinds, etc.
