My son and I are sitting in our blind trying to get him his first buck. We just had a spike come in, the thing is that deer was very big bodied and had huge ears. Looked like a mule deer, but I've never seen a mule deer in this part of the world. We hunt in Robert Lee in Coke County. Could it be a mulie or maybe a hybrid, and if it is either is that a legal deer to shoot?

If your county doesn't have a mule deer season it is illegal to shoot one. I have no idea about any sort of hybrid.
I know that parks and wildlife would like to hear of your encounter.
I would imagine it was a whitetail though
