With a herd of hogs running the deer off it looked like it was going to be a hog killing weekend. Friday night the hogs came to the feeder at 10:00 my buddy and I counted to 3 then shot. My bullet was a dud but his connected on the big boar. He was stinky so drug him off to the boneyard. Sunday morning my buddy went to check the north field while i stayed in the middle field. While he was up there I spotted the hogs coming up the ridge headed for the south field. Grabbed the AR and headed to the south field. Lead sow was half way through the field and I put one in her. First shot was in the back hip. I immediately got on the next 2 and not sure if I hit either one (no blood). Last one had made up his mind not to cross the field and I dropped him in the brush. Lead sow was dragging her self to the edge so i put another shot on her to slow her down. Then walked up to her and put one in the noggin. Not long after i heard my buddy shooting. Seems the piglets were far behind and were hauling butt across the middle field were they encountered my buddy. He got two of the piglets on the run befor they dissappeared into the brush. So out of this group we only have 2 adults left and a bunch of piglets

Well done indeed. Same thing happened to me this weekend while deer hunting. No deer, but loads of pigs.
