Anyone know who owns it now? I heard a few years ago that Larry Weishun bought it but there was some discussion of whether he bought the ranch or the restaurant (of which he was already part owner).

I don't know, but I ran into Gary Schwarz at Luby's in McAllen last month. He looked like a bodybuilder. Lol. Nice guy. He pulled out some of my teeth when I was a little kid.

I am talking about El Cazador Ranch which was once owned by David Morris of the bucks of Tecomate. There is also a Los Cazadores restaurant in Pearsall, which is or was partly owned by Weishun.

I thought it was in the news a couple years ago that Weishun bought El Cazador, I always assumed it was the ranch.

Roger Jarvis is a very successful E&P businessman. The El Cazador is high-fenced.

Was it low-fenced when it used to come out on The Bucks of Tecomate?

I read that one side was low fenced. But, the adjoining property was also high-fenced on all but that side, and it was owned by Dr. Gary Schwarz, so it allowed them to get around the SCI rules on a technicality. That's just what I've read.

I remember them saying on the show that it was low-fenced. Thanks for the info. Interesting stuff.
