i have been sending emails to atn, no answer. First thing that needs addressing is the ir, there is no simple on and off button for it you have to go through all the settings to turn it on and back through the settings again to turn it off. second thing is there is low medium and high brightness. medium and high are no good as there is to much lag and its flashing in low setting must say the inbuilt ir seems very good.
Atn, can you please tell me which firmware to use. Currently on 294 should I be updating to 343 and if so what does this address.

I have just found out that if you plug in the external power supply it will not allow you to turn it on or off, you cannot use record or zoom. To shut it down you have to take the batteries out.douwn loaded ferm were 343 all is now working

atn says medium is the optimal setting for night mode .i find theres to mutch lag in it the ir is a pain it comes on as soon as you turn the unit on. but if you wont to use your own ir you have to go throgh the settings to turn its own ir of. so if you turn the unit of to save on the battery power. you have to go back through again

Sounds like another example of ATN selling a product and then developing it Not going to fall for that business model again

If you have turned the built in Ir off, switch to daytime mode before turning the binox off, when you start it again, the built in IR woun't come on.

Mine eats batteries and almost makes it completely unusable. I also have the screen flicker with the light setting to low and medium and high are very laggy. I will agree the built in IR is actually not too bad

I can't get any batteries to last long enough. It eats them. I've tried rechargable 3.7 volt,, 2300 mili amp. They are no good. I don't know where to go from here. cr123 batteries from local shop cost £5 pound each, thats £15 pound for everytime I want to use them, and even then they dont last long enough.
