With so much water on the lakes. Gonna be scouting a lot over the next week as everything has changed. I have a boat, but over the last couple days the water is WAY back into the woods where even my shallow draft boat cant go due to the lake bottom being grown up the last couple years. I bet the lakes wont be more than a couple feet lower at the end of the season!!!

What key features are you looking for right now?

For me, its almost like bass fishing. Follow the water, if its going up follow it because that's where the groceries are going to be. Generally the further you can get, the less pressure too.

Ray Roberts is so high you can hunt from the truck, that is if there's room to pull off the road....

I love years like this. Plenty of birds there for the taking for those willing to put in the effort. You just gotta do what it takes. Hell there are times where we ride 10 miles in the big boat, drag a kayak 500 yards, paddle across a deep slough, wade 300 yards, shoot hundreds of birds all season long and never see another person.

Yeah, looks like it. Not to worry, im burning gas up over the split lining out some places and got a couple private spots to try yet.

On another note, this was the first post ive made in awhile here, and the rest of the replies just reminded me why. Good to see the main douche is still around.
