i added 2 longnecks of reg Budweiser to 3 pds chili meat after i browned it and then added my seasonings and onion and peppers and it turned out really good. i usually use budweiser for my stew and chili and hve always gotten a lot of compliments on it.

Yall ever cook with beer? Not talking about drinkin while youre cooking either lol

yep, usually use a 1/2-1 beer when making a pot of beans, 15 bean soup, my homemade BBQ sauce, chili ... I also use wine for a variety of sauces/gravy, cherry brandy for chicken cherry blossoms ... to name a few

Heck yeah, but Bud has always given me a headache.

I cook with beer, JD, red and white wine (the cheap stuff), and even vinegar on occasion.

Only two things I can think of I cook with a beer and that's cabbage sometimes and beer batter onion rings.

I judged a bbq cook off a few months ago and it was very apparent which teams used beer/liquor in their beans and on their meats. None of them placed well in the competition. Not that it cant be done/done well, but none of them could!

I posted this a couple of years ago. When I make beans I add about 1/2 can of Bud when they need water added. So, I figured why not just cook with beer instead of water. Best dang beans I've ever made. Then about 45 minutes later, Wife and I noticed our stomachs rumbling. It got bad.

Grandson was playing in some basketball finals. Wife stayed home. I went to the game but sat up high in the bleachers away from everybody. I told them that I was coming down with the flu so stay away.
