Is this a good sight for the money? I notice the one for 399 is usually around 599 but is the scope worth the money?

Optic Planet Has them for $459 right now with free shipping. This deal has a $20 shipping charge.
Better deal than optic planet as long as you get the newest version.

Have you read all the pros and mostly cons on this scope. If your a tech person you might like, ATN is still having problems with some of the items. Read some of the THF on the scope.

so far I am liking the 3-12 they sent me, works as a scope (I don't care about all the gee-gaws advertised). they seem to have most of the bugs worked out and will likely update the firmware again soon.

I've decided to try another one. I ordered the 3-12 from Amazon and plan to at least use it as a daytime scope that I can record on. We'll see if any of the night time features have improved.

Ver 343 made a significant improvement in my 5-18x. One of my target areas for hogs is on a funnel about 170 yards and I have no problems seeing game (hogs, WTD, Axis)at night. Raccoon, rabbits, and the occasional porcupine are more difficult beyond 75 yards or so. I have a 3-12x but I haven't tested 343 on it since I need to check zero first.
I've noticed the daytime setting allows me to see at dusk (start of darkness) so much better than my Ziess scopes. Must be the digital solution that allows me to use daytime mode so much longer.
I've had my x-sights about a year.

I haven't tried that ATN day/night sight, you're talking about, but I'm currently using this ATN Night Arrow 6 - 2: I really like it. But it's more expensive than the one you discussed, but it worth those money as for me.

Mine came in with the 343 firmware already installed, so I would assume it is a relatively recent build hardware wise, the only issue I have found so far is that the mount was not seated tightly to the scope. I would think that would be something that would have been set at the factory in an optimal position and locktite'd in place.
I am awaiting a few more deliveries to get everything set the way I want it accessory wise, but just giving it a go in the backyard with the onboard IR seemed pretty decent. I have ordered one of the evolva t-20's and that "should" push further into the dark.
Maybe this weekend I can actually get it sighted in.
