My brother-in-law shot this on opening week this rifle season. The taxidermist already sent him this pic of the mount today. I'm not an expert on taxidermy, so I'm just wondering how you would rate this on a scale of 1-10.
If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

He's a handsome buck for sure, and I read your other post, congrats to you! Nothing like seeing good deer taken off of YOUR land (I realize you didn't shoot him).
5-6 on the mount. I say that as it appears to be just an average, middle of the pack mount to me. Not trying to be critical or negative - it just seems pretty standard and there's nothing spectacular that I notice.
It kinda looks like he is still chewing some corn and the neck bulge bothers me, but that could be angle of the picture.
Hard to make any more judgment without getting up close.

I'd agree with the above comment. To much clay n some spots, not enough in others, ears need work. Can't c ear butts , eyes look to dark, nose looks black. Lip looks to wide and offset antler set looks a bit off(side to side) and brisket and pits look off. But like stated above would need to c in person or more pics. I've seen lot better and I've seen a lot worse. Just my opinion.

Ear shape look ok, eye shape looks ok, ear butts need work. I'll stand by the 4,5, or 6. Kinda a toss up. It's an average mount. Not sure if any of this is what ur looking for.

Would like to see a little more ripple of muscle in the neck, but it is a pretty deer.

He looks alright. I think the camera angle and poor lighting make it impossible to seen any real detail to know if it's a great mount or just average. Eyes are too dark in the picture to see clearly, but if they are level, not bulging and look realistic, then that's most of it. Nostrils should be deep and the overall expression on it's face should be lifelike. If a quality commercial tannery was used, you should be fine.
