Any body else keep records? Here's my first split totals, which though I had a good time, proved a pretty slow start.
Birds to date
Blue Wing Teal: 22
Ruddy: 12
Gadwall: 5
Spoonies: 4
Green Wing Teal: 3
Wood Duck 3
Redhead: 1
BlackBelly Whistler: 1
Fulvous Whistler: 1
Ringneck: 1
Poldeaux: 32

Looks like a good assortment! Congrats! I don't keep track! Never been about the numbers for me! Getting outside, the experience and hearing the woods come alive in the morning is what it's about for me.

Yes, I keep a log book. I primarily hunted North Tx but made (1) trip to the coast.

13.56 birds per hunt
4.07 birds per man
122 total birds; 121 ducks, 1 goose

Haven't gotten out near as much as I'd like to so far, but my totals for 4 hunts are
7 reds
5 scaup
2 buffs
On a side not that I just realized, Amy drake to hen ratio is 13-1. One darn butterball hen that went down on the same shot that killed her boyfriend. Can't wait for 2nd split!

Personal total
Teal season: 2 hunts, 8 BWT
1st split: 3 hunts, 14 total. Mix of GWT, Greenheads, Greys, & a few shovelers.

Haven't kept a log in years but when I used to hunt everyday I did. I think our best year was around 900 birds and that was usually with just 3-4 hunters. Use to keep drake to hen ratios too, I know Someone has those papers with all the tally marks somewhere. But I've only been on 2 personal hunts this year with two limits each hunt, but for customers somewhere around 400 or so

Very slow start for me as well. Don't have the exact numbers handy, but I know the #1 and #2 birds have been GWT and Gadwall. The total count is somewhere in the 50's compared to last year when it was close to 100 during the first split. I attribute it to a lack of hunting which is due partly to a lack of birds. I plan on adjusting my game plan for the second split and making the good hunts count.

I'm at 45 ducks in 11 hunts not including teal season. Started out with 5 straight limits and it's been slim pickings ever since

9 hunts, 70 ducks including 25 BWT- last year 52 YTD 14 hunts. Had pair mallards and 4 birds last 2 hunts- which was off pace of limits for 7-9 hunts YTD personally.
Also harvested 5 water turkeys with neusance control license. May hunt them exclusively this weekend. Believe snipe is open as well. Will have to look into that.
Beauty of it all was on places I developed/ planted/ etc last two years. Hour from my residence. Very rewarding.

I've seen a ton this year(private land). Look up neusance control permit. 13 bucks. Double crested cormorant license. U have to keep log each hunt. Bury or burn your harvest. Like shooting geese. Awesome. They will often keep coming in while your shooting lead bird. Crazy. Saved many slow hunts over years. Get after it. 1 license per body of water. Must be private.  You can designate as many licensees under your permit as well. If u have 5 buddies hunting- just list them in log and you are good!
