Got some $ burning a hole in my pocket. Budget is under 1K either with or without optics.
Looking hard at a Tikka varmint, Ruger Hawkeye Predator, or Remington700 milspec.
I think I'd like something in 308, 260, or 6.5 creed.
This is what I have already: 300 Blackout AR Remington 700 BDL 30-06 Winchester 30-30 Marlin .35 Remington

Tikka rebarreled for 6.5 Ceeedmoor, or a Tikka already in .260 Rem. You'd better be a handloader for the .260 Rem.

Sure like my creedmoor, to help narrow down your caliber choice.
Oh I should say my wife's creedmoor

you wont regret the mil-spec, but i am becoming a Tikka fan more and more. The Remy mil-spec is a nice quality package if you want a 308. If your thinking 6.5 creed, the Tikka build as FJG suggested will be a slick rig..... forget 260....

Somebody sold a Tikka CTR .260 in the classifieds the other day for $800. Sure wish I'd had a spare $800 lying around at that time.

I'm with Jason with one exception....with what you already have you may want to consider more of a varmint caliber..

I'd say you seem to like the 30 calibers so a .308 would fit right in. If you don't reload I wouldn't really be looking at odd calibers.

If your interested in going small I would recommend the 22-250. I plan to own one at some point, fun guns to shoot.

Tikka yes definitely . 260 is a great choice but like others have said you better roll your own. I haven't shot any vermin with it but the two deer I shot with my 260 didn't like it too much. I wish they made the CTR in 243 I would have to have one of those also.

Couldn't take it any more so I ordered the only Ruger Hawkeye predator in 6.5 that I could find. Also picked up a SWFA SS 10x42 mil dot with the side parallax adjustment.
