My first split summary log, excluding early teal season.



I didn't shoot that spoonie fyi. My buddy did, at least he shot a drake, normally he shoots spoonie/ringer hens.

My best 2 solo hunts..





7 hunts, plus 6 separate scouting trips, 13 days on the water, covering 8 different lakes. Really have not seen a lot of birds other than preseason scouting, the good shoots I have had I think there was a little luck involved, the mallards decoyed beautifully, shot 4 mallard doubles in the 2 hunts shown above.

I 'll bite.
On my hunts 184 ducks have been harvested the first split not including youth or teal. Numbers are down from last year and a lot less ducks around but still enough to find, just my observation. I do not keep a detailed report like Guy but will say we shot more green than expected, no divers or trash ducks, more wood ducks than past years, and less teal than usual for this time of year.
Been interesting and different then the last couple of years, good thing gas is cheap.

If you find your public duck hole has been shotout, it's most likely Mo and his gang.

Not me, I only hunt private now, I heard no ducks were on public water. Not much of gang either, most of the time it's just me and one other unless I take a kid or senior citizen. I did have a couple of 4 man hunts the first split though.

1500 all hens and all on public in 7 hunts with my punt gun. Sold them all to Dallas country club. I only market hunt on public, save pond popping for my sportsmen
