I have not seen quail at our place since the mid 90's. I wouldn't shoot one if I saw them as it would be nice to see them repopulate. My question is has anyone on here seen any in this area? We are on the Jack/Young County line. I heard that they were doing better this year.

I hunt near jack/ montague line and see birds every time I got deer hunting. It reminds me when I was a kid and they scared the crap out of me walking to the stand in the dark early morning. I bet I see a few dozen every trip. Hope they make a come back

I have a couple of coveys on my place this year, after seeing none the past three years. Both coveys are about 14 birds. Property is right near Young Co border.

Been seeing 3 different coveys at our place that straddles the Jack/Young county line for a few years now, but the coveys are noticeably bigger this year.

We have a place between Bowie and Jacksboro in Jack County. It's not too big, but we see birds out there quite often. There's a covey of bobs that hang around our deer feeder. Love watching them.
