I mean if the hunter says he saw a shooter??? That's on the hunter not the outfitter.

Who determined it was a shooter? Did the outfitter say that it was a hit list deer or was it a shooter in the hunters eyes?

If you'll read it, it says, "you told me you saw a shooter." Now maybe in liberal lawyer language, a shooter doesn't mean a shooter. But where I can from, if someone says they saw a shooter, then it's a shooter.

WOW... Yes very professional response. Vastly different from the phone call I received from Oren today saying he had a lawyer on retainer and he would sue me if I posted one more thing on the hunting forum. Really?? I posted a review of my hunt and the outfitter, if you can even call yourself that. I have also recieved PMs from people who have much worse experiences than I had with TNT and Oren. This is ridiculous. I'm out, good luck to you guys in the future. With the way you treat people I'm sure you'll do well.

And to the rest of you, I told Oren I saw one decent deer that was busted up and too young to shoot. I never said not did I see a shooter. I tried to be as respectful is I could to Oren's face and when I made this original post but after him threatening to sue me today I no longer have a reason to be respectful to him.

I was not the one to determine if the deer he saw was a shooter or not when he described what he saw he called it and 8 point shooter. I do not go onto the hunters sections while they are hunting for safety reasons and also to not disturb their hunt by stirring up the deer while in my vehicle. I told him i had seen a similar deer to the one he had seen but I don't determine if they are shooters or not that of course is always up to the hunter since they are out there by themselves making those decisions.

Some of you crack me up, one complaint and one response and that is all you have to go on, but yet you just "assume" one is telling the truth.. It is just statements and opinions of the writers. I'd bet the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Clearly one feels his expectation where not met and the other thinks they where. If there was earlier communication when it was attempted, this post probably wouldn't even exist.

You did give a nice response on here. Is what he said about the threatening phone call true?

I never let one review tell a story for me on an outfitter. Good or bad. Just curious.

If you would like to send me those PMs with people who had issues with their hunting experience with us i would be more than happy to view them as well. i have yet to have one complaint from any hunters on their hunting experience. Not everyone got a deer this year many saw a tons of bucks but they didn't want to shoot because they were looking for something bigger or they just didn't get that opportunity to see that perfect buck. I have people calling all the time thanking us for a wonderful hunt and showering oren with praise. I am sorry you didn't have the hunt you were looking for its not fun to go out and not get one but you personal talked to me, Leslie, and told me you saw a shooter your first day. Then our other hunter made a joke about how deer hunting is like being in a bar the longer you are there the more your options broaden. We all laughed and shook hands and shared our stories for the day. We actually had a good conversation and I let you know where we were when we saw the deer he shot and it wasn't a grand champion buck but he was satisfied with it and made his decision to shoot it. We give everyone the same opportunity to do. Thanks again for your input on your hunt. This is one hunter's opinion and i still take it very seriously and completely personal because I was out there I was talking with him and I was seeing everything. I spent 9 days non stop scouting and seeing all these deer calling the people in those sections letting them know what i have seen offering to bring out corn after dark i would personally go and bait as many locations as i could to see if we could bring out more deer for our hunters and create that opportunity. I am a woman and i am passionate about my business and my hobby. I take pride in everything that I do and my husband shares the same passion as I do.

I didn't think you were disrespectful in any part of your review....

I don't see anything wrong with posting about a negative experience on a paid hunting trip. That's why this is a 'forum'. If everyone just wants to have 'goody' 'goody' posts on here....well let's just everyone a participation trophy!
If I paid $3,500 for a hunt, I would expect to have a good opportunity to take an animal. I know it's hunting and not shooting and there are no guarantees.
Also, reading through the posts, sounds like the wife should take over any and all communications!!

you think the OP is sour? his first post appeared to be pretty well thought out and tactful IMO. and so was the response from TNT, until the supposed phone call, if that part is true then they are out of line.

Do you want me to post the PMs on here? I would love to, but i will mark out anytbing that might give away who it is. They sent me those private for a reason. And I didn't post then on here for a reason. They are pretty descriptive of stuff y'all have done, some of which is illegal. If you want them I'll be glad to post them on here for you to address.

Machete16 ... FWIW, I would NOT post any PMs that was between you and another individual ... it was private for a reason! there might be details contained within those PMs that would be a dead give away whom it might have been from ... and its the internet, what someone sent you might really not be factual and/or over exaggerated. Just my 2 cents

Did Oren really threaten legal action against the hunter? I take no response as a 'yes'.

Your right, it doesn't need to posted. I need to calm down, I'm pretty laid back but when he called threatening to sue me over a review I posted on a hunting forum it had me pretty hot. My ranting is over.

Well, at least folks understand what they're getting themselves into when hunting with outfits or operations like this and I am not passing judgment one way or the other. My first red flag would be leasing a 1900 acre pasture to spot and stalk (or drive) mule deer on. To the outfitters defense, it's hard to make a living with 2 week MD season, so they have to cram as many hunters on as little acreage as possible in the limited amount of time they have and some hunters are going to win and some are going to lose. For the outfitter, I would suggest larger hunting tracts and fewer hunters, even if you had to raise your price to make up the difference. If your killing 200" MD, guys will pay a premium as long as they are being treated fairly.

How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

No I don't need a audience to settle this. But this is what happens on forums. I mean to some degree isn't that what a forum is for? So you can have a audience to tell about your hunts, show pics to, and talk about hunting? Come on man
