Scouted lake X last weekend. Hunted the same lake X Thanksgiving morning.

The place I was standing on Thursday has over five more feet of water over it and rising.

This could become very interesting. I've always wanted to try a timber hunt. It looks like a could do it now.

Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.

I'm a little worried about how my place looks after the last few days. It's going to be an adventure just getting close to it.

We got out yesterday morning, walked to our "spot" and were arm pit deep in water. Turned around and went home.

Hopefully some of this water will recede some by the opening of the next split. Funny how we go from record droubt to record rainfall!

I'm sure you can figure it out! I occasionally forget some people never misspell anything!

Haven't been out since Wednesday. I'm tired of the slop.

Now 9.1 feet deeper than Thursday morning.

I'm starting to hope that a boat ramp stays open.

All this rain let me do a flooded timber hunt for the first time ever yesterday. It was awesome. 5 guns and 25 birds. We should have limited out but shooting through those trees is harder than you think.

No better hunting than timber hunting. Glad you got to enjoy it for the first time.

If you're shooting them through the trees you're doing it wrong. Let them come through the trees to you then shoot them feet down in the deeks.
