The first picture is what the pools are supposed to look like and the following is what it looks like now and where levees and control structures are supposed to be!

What is looks like now!

Big breach at our 1st structure!

With the chambers creek levee busted, nothing is there to protect our wetland. Never seen it this deep in the 25+ years I've been on the property. Normally 18" pools are well over 12' deep. That is how long my anchor is and it doesn't touch!!!

Man that sucks.

We got 8" of rain from this last storm but it was spread out over a few days so I didn't get any damage to my duck pond.

We don't usually have perfect conditions until now, but we had them a week before the season this year. We were raining ducks. Now this, so I'm not sure what entails after the split. If our structures are gone in the back, we have no way to hold the water when it receeds. Terrible! but at least I have several SC Lakes within the area to hunt and at least the city folk in fort worth will have plenty of water to irrigate their lawns!

I would think your structures would be ok. How fast did it flood? Do you have spillways on your levees?

Thinking about my pond. It would backflood through the spillway and protect the dam.

The structures are over/under weir type spillways. The levees are overflowing from downstream side. We discharge to chambers creek, but chambers is filling us up. Just eroding the levees away

The wetlands are about 25' below chambers flood stage. We got New Orleans problems

Wow. Do you have any other pictures for reference? I was pissed cause our farmer disked under half of my moist soil plants but this is something else. Really sucks. Also will the land owner pay to fix the levee? Hopefully so...

Oh yeah. I've got the best owners in the world. They buy all blind material, pay me to build blinds, maintain area, and now fix levee. We are still old time. I say pay, but it's more like bartering. As long as beer is present, we all good in the offseason! I'll get more pics when water goes down. There will be plenty of reference points.
