Get what you want and buy a heavy rifle(no recoil issues) but the 280 is a solid round

Dad has a 280, its a nice gun/round it performs well. If your not going to throw the High BC bullets long range though you may as well get a 270.

If your doing 280 get one in 280 Ackley improved... you can shoot 280 out of it but once you reload you get some REAL energy!

Might as well make the decision more complicated ---- 6.5 Swede or 6.5x284!

Might as well make the decision more complicated ---- 6.5 Swede or 6.5x284! I have recently become fascinated with the 6.5x284 and will one day own one but the original post was in regards to common reloading components. I currently have 7 rem mag, 7mm-08, and 22-250. Would like to find a caliber that has something in common with these, thus the suggestions of 280, 308, 260, and 6.5 creed.
