Thank you Sir! The chairs are a Craigslist find. The lady was very fond of them when we started hagglin. I will send a word of advice to you all. The wrong way to haggle is to inform the buyer that you have to sell something because you're moving in 2 days. Telling me that is like fending off a shark attack with a bucket of blood. They are too expensive for me to buy from the store so I had to go into attack mode on this haggle.

The counter tops were less than $60 bucks. I bought regular old construction pine 2X12, 2X10s ect. I sanded them down, used a pair burner to darken the grain, stained them and then just waxed them with Minwax finish wax. That way if some dumb *** uses it as a cutting board or sets a hot pot on it I can fix it in no time with a sander, stain and wax. My wife likes them so much she wants our house done the same way.

Did you know there was drywall above those cabinets you removed before getting into it or did you have to patch the ceiling?

I didn't know what I had until I tore everything out. The cabinets were built in after the sheetrock but I had to bust out a bunch of the sheetrock to get ht cabinets out. I got lucky and didn't have to do a whole lot of repair on the sheetrock. The ceiling texture was blown in after the cabites were in stalled so there are two 1 inch wide lines I have to match the texture. Not that big of a deal, just a pain in the arse end.

Nicest duck camp I've seen. The one I go to in Arkansas, you have to get dressed to go to the can!

I have a similar setup in my kitchen that is going to get ripped out. Hopefully I won't have to redo too much of the ceiling.

Fooshman I did sheetrock work after the 1980s oilfield crash. It made me realize I needed a different line of work. I can hang rock with the best of them, taping and floating is the devil.

Thabk you Greek. Where I took that pic,is where the festivities on the unofficial thf duck hunt will take place. I bought a fire pit and we will have a massive pot of gumbo. I hope more people come than expected.

They both hide in the boat thinking they won't get left behind that way.
