Been looking at getting an aftermarket stock for a 700 and have seen a few of these stocks on some custom guns. Just wanted to know what you thought about them compared to some of the other big names. Looks like they only have one model which I do like the looks of it. Wish I could find one to handle before making a purchase. http://www.greybullprecision.com/products/product/34-precision-hunting-stock.html

I have handled them. They are a very quailty made stock. I prefer mcmillan or B&C. They are very similar in my opinion to HS and B&C. I like how it doesn't have the wide forend like the B&C. Ive had HS and B&C, and i prefer the B&C out of the three, because of price point. I can live with the wider forend. They all feature aluminum bedding block and each's composite materials are durable. My 308 has an HS and is 1/4 moa, my 260 has B&C and shoots teens, my soon to be completed 243 ai will have a B&C with ptg detachable mag A5. To surmise, if thats your flavor you wont go wrong with the greybull.

Thanks for the input. That's what I'm torn about, trying to decide if it's worth the extra cash over a B&C or just pony up the cash for a McMillan or manners. I'm building a semi custom rifle and will probably be my only one.

I've not read any complaints on the greybull but I've never owned one.
You're last sentence outlined it for me...if it's going to be your only one...cry once and get what you really want...even if it takes longer, you'll be happier in the long run.
Everytime I've tried to save $ or settle in the shooting worlds it always costs me more money in the long run. Get the McM or Manners, especially if it's what you want.

Derrick at Horizon Firearms uses those stocks on a good bit of his custom rifles. You may want to reach out to him as he builds amazing rifles with all the stocks mentioned above. You can find him on here, his sn is HorizonFirearms.
