What counties? Ask your local biologist they'll have the Fed-aid report by RMU(some counties are multiple RMU's)
RMU- resource management unit.

Okay, I will call the biologist next week and see if he has that information. I did not need it for any reason, just wondering about Eastland county.

Looks as if Eastland is majority in RMU 24 at 74 ac/deer with 5.2 does/buck sex ratio, about 75% coverage mostly southern end.

25% is RMU 25 mostly eastern and western sections (right and left corners) at 32 ac/deer with 3.3 doe/buck sex ratio

There could be higher and lower pockets this is the avg over entire RMU's. Its best to ask the local bio for the numbers around the particular survey route closest to your location.

There used to be a deer density map of the United states. This was in early 80s. Needs updating though. Areas that showed deer as scarce or nonexistent, now have a lot of deer...Think it was from whitetail institute of America, or something like that.

Things have changed since 80's... WMA used ta fill out card apone entering & again when leaving... My thinking was, hunters were the eyes & ears... Two-three years ago they stopped... With trail cams & such, like here & many other THF'ers do can monitor 24-7-365... Since the 80's here, no doe tags were allowed... 1buck county, worked fences, bailing hay, brush-hogging, &other activities seen plenty of deer... Around 2010 it went 4deer county... Last year had 3 different bucks, hitting minneral blocks in same pic early stage of velvet... Season came around, not a buck seen, do ta years of BBT they pretty much stay nocturnal... This year had ta move cams around just ta get pic of a buck... Tis always good ta get other opinions, rofl as pappy once said: mine stinks , typical lowfer here... Post's worth bout 2cents postage stamp, rofl i get a lot of return ta sender... flag
