That's cool and looks like a lot of fun.

I'm serious on the jacket...you're more than welcome to either one I have...just say the word.

Now I see your problem, you have a $400 jacket with no buttons in case the zipper fails, what a piece of C$$p. Just get a Cabelas one for less than half that and when the zipper fails use the buttons and flap to keep you dry.
BTW a zipper would fix that problem you have there.
We may get there afterall, just 18 pages to go.

Every time I have had a problem with a zipper, I have had some random foreign object stuck in it. Clean it out and good to go.

Nice offer.

I am the same. And if you come down this way and need one, I have a closet full of all kinds of coats/jackets. Just don't get them dirty. lol

That's ok, I got the whole split, there is no rush. I need to get everyone's opinion first, before I make a decision, kinda like Jerry Jones.

It's running better. Doesn't get used that much. Used it last week to brush the blind and the week before that while doing the fence.

Get your tailor to install a good brass, heavy-duty zipper in place of that cheap plastic one. If they don't have any, go somewhere and buy one and take it to them.

G...trust me, I'm just as big of a richard as you are grin

brass zipper sounds like a terrible idea on a waterproof jacket...seems like it would be a lot more prone to leaking...but on a good note, if it leaks you could just sweat it in like a water heater pipe rofl

I suppose if you had someone turned a pressure hose on your jacket a brass zipper would leak. All the trouble I've had with zippers was related to them being plastic and/or too small and light-duty.
