Really wanting to go hunting this weekend but the weather is less than favorable. Plan was to leave tomorrow morning and return Sunday night. Here's the forecast

If you can safely get there and the stand is dry...I would go. Place I hunt in ETex is flooded. Owner went in with a boat; Foot of water everywhere and His wife dropped a big 8 point.

I used to hunt in a driving sleet, huddled under an old USMC poncho, and in open tree stands when it rained or snowed. Upon further reflection...what was I thinking?

These days I'll take the Kubota, with roof and windshield, to the woods and sit in a heated non-leaking blind.

Can't kill them from the couch. The 2 biggest bucks I have ever taken were in snow storms with howling wind and temps in the single digits.

Everybody on the lease bailed. I'm not going out there alone in this weather. Will be there Wednesday-Saturday now

Probably wise. Something I still need to learn.

BP, if it's any consolation, our place is flooded with zero access. We can't hunt from our sofa's, but when the risk exceed's the potential reward, we bow out.

Better day's are ahead.

Do it.

Was 55 degrees here yesterday when I decided to come to Nebraska. Woke up to this.

you don't know until you go.
the game is out in the weather
24-7 and they don't use calendars
or clocks. if they want to go
eat in the rain at 14:00 they
do it.

Headed out in a few to Wichita Falls. Low 30s right now and raining, going to get messy tonight. Should be a good night for hogs!

In that area I would wait for the rain to pass and let it dry out some.

You just end up getting stuck and tearing up the roads and it's not worth it IMO.
