Any suggestions on where to start, do you have anything that worked well or didn't in your Venture? I have a 100 pieces of Lapua brass, just trying to figure out where to start. I am wanting to use 140gr Nosler bullets if possible, already have powder and primers.
Thanks

Varget and F210's. Start low and work up.

What they said.
Started loading for the 7mm-08 in 1982 with Speer 145gr boattail bullets IMR 4350 with CCI Large rifle primers. The most accurate load was pretty hot and now is listed .5 grains above max but in those days was 1.5 grains below max. Only problem was those loads were a little hot and did not shoot as well in the Summer at higher temps. Switched to Varget when it came out and have not looked back.

Varget and F210's. Start low and work up. Yup. Varget is my choice for .223, .22-250, 7mm-08, and .308. I've also had good results with CCI primers. Never can seem to find Federals.

If you're looking at Varget, be sure to try out RL15 as well. Between the two, I can't believe that you won't find something that works well.

I have looked at all the powder manufacturer's load data, trying to figure out where to start with this gun, first TC bolt gun. I have a load that works great in the Tikka T3,hoping that it works for the Venture, sure would make things easy, but as you know, that rarely happens.

If both rifles have the same barrel contour and length, they may shoot near the same load. But I treat every rifle as an individual.
39.5 gr HODGDON START 39.8 gr 40.1 gr 40.4 gr 40.7 gr 41.0 gr 41.3 gr 41.6 gr 41.9 gr 42.2 gr HODOGON MAX
I'd start low and work up, performing a ladder test at 300 yards or more. Group shoot based on where the node is.

Varget, H4895, and H4350 have all worked well for me with 139 and 140 grainers.
If you want something done, tell a Texan its impossible
