I'm new to hunting ground blinds, only been in one. I prefer a tree stand for bow hunting or box blind with rifle. I oldest is 10yrs old and is asking for a ground blind for Christmas/. I like the idea of being a little more mobile as well I guess. I have no idea what is good . Let's say I wanted to spend around $150. What is the best recommendation in that range. Bon sure there might be some on sale this week but I would t know a good one from a bad one. Please give me some ideas from first hand experience. Only thing is it needs to be big enough for 2 people, possibly a 3rd if my 7yr old also hunts with us. We squeeze in a 5'x5' box blind as is. Thanks coach

Well here's one that I would advise against in that price range: The Bone Collector pop-up that I bought at Cabela's. And the sole reason for saying this is due to the window mesh design. They "thoughtfully" (?) put shooting holes in the camo mesh which at first glance does seem like a good idea. BUT, I found out the hard way that the hordes of wasps that love pop-ups in warm weather can freely enter through those same holes whether or not you're around. The interior window coverings are closed with a peg and loop system which I really prefer to having VELCRO all around, but that doesn't provide a tight enough seal to keep the bugs out with the shooting holes in the window camo mesh.

Double Bull blinds are all I use. Have had one for 20 years and it's still going strong.
