Hornady Leverevolution 140 gr FTX vs. Federal American Eagle 158 gr JSP
I was at GM today and picked up some leverevolution, but am quickly considering taking it back after reading about how keeping the ammo in the tube of my rifle may deform the tip and result in poor accuracy. Was wondering if anyone has any experience with either load.
Most of what I've read online is recommending ordering some ammo from buffalo bore.
Thanks in advance.

Have used the leverevolution on deer and hogs, though it works it is not my favorite bullet. Out of my Marlin have left some in for months and it was still accurate.
Best bullet I have tried for busting deer and hogs IMO is the discontinued Nosler 180gr partition. That thumps very hard. Have used it on hogs up to 200lbs, punch through both shoulders and back with nice exit.
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

Finding a factory load for a pistol caliber rifle with great accuracy will be a little difficult. I'm guessing you don't reload?
Pass the gravy.

I have some equipment but don't have the dies, etc. for the .357 and was looking for something to use in the mean time.

Rudy, will GM let you return ammo? I don't know anyone that will these days. Personally I like cast bullets with a big wide meplat.

Will just limit myself to neckshots or lungs. Going to order some BB 180s most likely, though the 158s look really appealing with all the muzzle energy too.

The FTX work really well in my 45-70 but that's a whole nother story. They'll probably be fine tho.

Buy the dies and I'll send you some lead to try. Let me know what powder you have though...
Pass the gravy.
