Ok so some of you know from my posts I just got some land. The land is small, 10 acres. It hasn't been hunted in a few years before me hunting this year. Corn has been flowing for about three weeks now. The cool thing about the blind that is on the property was that the previous owner before he passed would keep a log of everything he saw during his day of hunting and would write it on the wall of the blind. It seemed as though he had a lot more deer traffic a few years ago then we do now. My questions are what is the best way to get deer to be accustomed to my property versus the other small tracts. Where should I focus my efforts? Should I feed throughout this summer with corn so they get used to the routine time? I ask this because my girlfriends mom owns small land of 22 acres and when her feeders go off or they corn the road, which they do at the same time the deer are there in ten minutes. With such a small amount of land is protein feeder worth it? I have what I feel would be a great spot for food plot and stand and it would be about 3/4 of an acre, is that where I should start. I know we are still in this season but I am just so excited about the future of this place and am trying to figure where to start focusing my energy come February. I need a property mentor...lol Thanks for any inputs

I am not an expert, but my two cents. Food, Cover, Fresh Water and keep pressure to a minimum. Think also in terms of what not to do.

I can do the food, already have a creek, and the food plot would be buried in cedars. The only thing I don't know I will be able to do is keep my kids out of there. I want it to be successful hunting hut I also want my family to enjoy it
