Quitter... smh at such a person. For crying out loud just buy a canned hunt. Someone on here has 3 does for $600. A lot less than a lease will cost and they get to shoot something.

Suck it up buttercup and put your man panties on. Quit crying.

Finding other options is another. Looking at lease search engines, finding out all the public land and draw hunts available in your area is another. Since you are military, there are options there too that others aren't privy too. Small game hunting is available in various locations. Reasonably priced doe and hog weekend hunts could be a great option if funds are limited.

Finding a good lease is difficult and takes a lot of time and networking to find the right place. There is always the option of finding a smaller place and leasing the place out so you can let your kids do what you want.

Good luck in your decision cheers

Thanks. I would lease 10 acres if there is no drama and the neighbors don't shoot every illegal buck in the area.

I just got 10 acres, my neighbors shoot everything too...not sure if they are legal or illegal as I don't go check. I got the land one week before opening day. Opening weekend I took a doe, last weekend my girlfriend took a doe. My son has never been hunting before and even if we don't see anything he loves spending time together. Every night as soon as we pick them up from school the first thing they ask is if we can go to "the land". Deer or no deer it will be the best investment of my life.
