Calling for 20-25 mph N winds starting at 5am in the morning.
Interested to hear everyone's thoughts and experiences hunting in windy conditions.
Do the ducks fly or hunker down?
Ducks become a little more predictable in how they will come in and decoys look a lot better.

I'll tell you that if you get them to decoy it sure makes for easy shots. They tend to almost float in heavy winds, and have a hard time getting going again once you start shooting. Quality of hunting will vary greatly depending on where you are hunting. IMO, decoys look better with a 10-15 MPH wind, but it's definitely better than no wind.
I've had some awesome hunts when there is a heavy North wind like we will have tomorrow. I'll be near Bonham and I'm expecting a good hunt in the AM.

We had one of those hunts like TTUHunter was referring to. The ducks came in just like they were supposed to floating in the strong head wind. We did well, but I am really looking forward to the weather over Thanksgiving weekend. Good moderate wind from the north with cold and rain should make for a great holiday hunting weekend.

Yep, a group sunk their boat on Saturday. That boat should have never been on that type water.

Did well in the strong winds managed to limit out on some teal. They were bombing us in the heavy winds.

We did really good as y'all could see from my other post:
http://texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/6041970/Heck_of_a_Morning!_(Video_and_#Post6041970
Wasn't sure what to expect but they came in great. We still had our typical issues with little cover. Plus the way this place is we had the wind directly behind us so they came in right in our face.
Ended up having an incredible hunt though with three limits of pins, teal and gaddies.
