Does anybody give their plots another dose of fertilizer?

I have been milling the idea around. I put in 300# per acre at planting time, but may top dress with str8 nitrogen if I do at all. It will depend on growth in my plot and surrounding vegetation condition for me. As a rule though, I haven't unless I ran cows in it after season.

I used to always split my fertilizer up into 2 toppings. One before planting and one around Dec/Jan.
