OK guys, my 12 year old son is dying to have a gun mount camera for his next hunt. With me being the financially challenged individual that I am I got one of the adapters for a smart phone. His his rifle is a bolt action which knocks the adapter off.

I have found the ATN Shot Tracker and the ATN Shot Tracker X at a reasonable price. Does any one here have any experience with these cameras? Is the only difference between the two the lazier? Is there a better solution for a 12 year old at the $100.00 range, I just can not do the $400.00+ digital scope. confused2

I have had one for a year now and love it...easy on batteries and instant on with the turn of one switch. It's fixed 5x optical so it brings in game nice an close. It also does a good job with the audio.

The shot from his clip was captured with the ATN Shot Track. We can't use lazers here so all of us have the non lazer model.

Thank you, I think Santa will be getting one of these. Is the lazer the only difference with the X model? and what function does the lazer play? He probably will not get that option.

Just ordered one 2 hours ago. Cant wait to try it on some birds. I had a go-pro and sold it. Duck hunting with the go-pro is worthless. Even a turkey hunt look bad on the go pro because you had to blow it up so much.

Cool idea but needs a better mounting system. Can't imagine that I would want one attached to my rifle barrel as they show on the website. Maybe for shotgun but not rifle.

Get a Scope mount with a pictany rail and mount it there...other wise on my AR it mounts to the handguard on a rail.

This was my plan, I think I can probably manufacture some adapters for shotguns if needed.

How does the zoom function work? If you are not watching the feed live how do you know if it is zoomed in or out or what?
