I saw that, congrats on the awesome buck. I got some land out in Kempner and am not seeing a whole lot of action. I have taken a doe each weekend but want them bucks up and running like you saw on Hood.
I have seen a lot of buck activity on the road but not in the woods. My girlfriend saw two doe on Saturday, no bucks. I went out sunday and sat from 530 in the morning until dark and did not see one deer. I haven't checked the cameras in a while now that I think I have stuff set up right but when I did have bucks on camera before they were only at night. I am going to sit the blind one more weekend then I am going to try and get down into some of the travel routes. I just hate trying to get back there because the way my land is set up the only way to get to the travel routes is by walking through where my blind and feeder are set up.

Last 2 days I sat, I could have almost worn shorts Still saw a little movement, but so many groceries in the woods still, food plot was the place to be. Now we have a good cool down and I have to work out of town all weekend

I think it'll be better this weekend than the first 2 weeks have been. Sounds like it'll be a little breezy at my lease in Archer county on Saturday, but probably not so much that it shuts down the movement. It looked to me like the rut was just waiting for a reason to swing into full-on-chasing mode and hopefully this front that came through tuesday morning and the following front for the weekend will be that catalyst.
