Moving through right now here in DeWitt County with extremely heavy rain & a huge temperature drop. I go out to the highway to pick up my dad's paper every morning and at 5 am it was 78°. Now, at 10 am, it is 55°! Still raining hogs & dogs!

Hunting here has been poor at best. As long as we can get into the pastures and out, it ought to be good!

I'm nothing if not hopeful that any change in weather will be a good thing. While hunting in the 60's is very comfortable, I never seem to see anything moving around when it's that warm. Be nice to see a frost in the mornings!!!!

It was cooler and overcast at my lease this past Sunday morning, and I saw my first mature buck of the season. This cooler weather should help, one would think.

With the Moon Phase, you will start to see better action starting on the 21st- 28th-29th....

Sit all day with the full moon, especially with the weather changing and the timing of peak breeding activity. It's hard, but it can pay off big time.

The bucks here were chasing deer all day on Monday before the front came through. A buddy shot a nice buck this morning after the front came through. I haven't seen any bucks all day.
