I picked up a Ruger SR-762 last week. Already having a few troubles with it. Many times I got failure to feed completely. Has anyone else experienced this with their rifles? I was shooting Hornady 165gr SST. I switched to Silver State Armory ammo and the problem reduced but didn't go away. Also, whats the accuracy you've gotten out of your rifles?

Hve you taken it apart and cleaned it? They often come with too much oil. Have you tried adjusting the backpressure? This is the piston driven model right?

Clean and cycle the action a couple hundred times. One I built had an issue not cycling. Sometimes they just need broken in.
Don't know anything about piston driven ones though.

Also try a different magazine, sometimes the lips are messed up. ut like stated cleaning and cycling is a good start.

It's a known issue with the ruger sr762. My dad sent his back, they modified the upper and bolt. Still wouldn't function properly. In the end they replaced the gun. They also tried to say it was a problem with lags and recommended metal mags. Don't take that answer. Send it back to ruger and demand a new rifle.
