I have the ssa-e and it's super nice
Is there anything out there that is noticeably better or single stage and better?
Timney is not the answer

Wilson combat 2 stage is what I ended up with. It's great but expensive.

AR Gold is what you want. The best trigger I've felt so far. Same one Jerry Miculek runs in his comp AR. It is amazing. I have an SSA-E also and if I'd have known about the AR Gold at the time, I would have it instead.

RRNM two stage is my go to trigger. Those are better than a mil spec but they don't hold a candle to an ssa-e

I have a Jard adjustable single stage on mine. I adjusted it down to what feels like less than two pounds just the other day, no creep whatsoever. I do need to fire it again though...it may double. If it does I'll try letting it have a little more over travel.

Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

I have 2 Geissele National Match triggers that are simply fantastic.

Is there really that much difference between a 3 lb trigger and a 2 pound trigger in practical purposes?
I have the ssa-e as well and I believe the second stage is only 1.2 lbs or something silly like that.. Is there a reason to go lighter? Or you really just looking for a single stage?

I will second the Geissle National Match. It is adjustable and believe I have mine at about 3.0 total. I have the Timneys and CMCs and honestly have not noticed a difference. I've also got a Hiperfire 243G that is nice but I need more time behind it.
For target/precision I think I like the 2 stage better. Single stage seems better suited for tactical to me.
You are welcome to try any of them if you like.
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............

I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.
