Gotta be a miss-print. I got a flyer in the mail yesterday Cabela's selling the Zeiss HD5 scopes for $400 off regular price. Only two models. Too bad I don't need one, 2-10x42, $550, Tomorrow only 3-15x42, $600, These are the HD 5's

Awe now, just because Tikka doesn't make scopes yet doesn't mean Zeiss are bad....

Awe now, just because Tikka doesn't make scopes yet doesn't mean Zeiss are bad.... They're not but the internals weren't designed for the way FJG wants to use them. If you want to zero once and leave them alone they're fine. In fact, they may be even better then his first choice in low light situations, it's a matter of making choices to fit needs.

They are definitely better than his first choice if Vortex is his first choice if glass is the first priority.
