Really happy with how these 2 guns finished out so I had to post them here.

Barrel style looks new I like it. When do you think you will be producing your stocks?

To be honest not that impressed with the fluting. It looks coolish and hell may serve as a great wood saw but meh.

The Thread protectors aren't profiled to the barrel.

Heat tends to concentrate and dissipate from sharp edges and corners. The dimpled barrel setup is attractive, and I would guess that it cools quickly with all of those points.

Make a good back-scratcher too, in a pinch.

Kind regards, charlesb

Dang, I love the barrels. Does it cut down a lot of weight and cooling time?

What camo pattern is that bottom stock? The bottom rifle is PERFECT in my opinion!

Your rifles have a high "Wow!" factor. Nice stuff.

Very unique, I like the fluting. That top rifle looks sharp. It does look like the fluting could be more trouble to keep clean/wipe down.

I shoot my custom barreled rifles too much to waste money on barrel fluting. Usually the cost of the fluting itself is darn near enough to pay for a new barrel, and I'd rather have another barrel than something that looks cool and doesn't offer much of a benefit.

Hmmm, close to matching the diamond serrations on my 2011. Can you make the serrations flat instead of pyramid shaped?

It's actually basically spiral fluted 2 different directions. Bottom one is painted with gradient that you can't really see in picture

Different things for different people, me personally I do both its worth it to me, fluting cost is a drop in the bucket relative to the whole rig so I might as well get what I want. I do not like my stuff to be like everyone else's

Individualism sells, if all your custom rifle guys guarantee the same accuracy why have your gun look like someone else's. I enjoy building people's vision for what they want in their rifles. We say around the shop why build a gun that just werks

You get what you pay for. If you want flutes then get them. If not, don't. If you want something different then that is fine too. The fact is, call it whatever you want, Derrick builds an excellent rifle. Each one that he has done for me is different, except for one thing- they shoot! Paint and flutes may sell, but if it doesn't shoot then I don't care for it.

Just my thoughts from an old guy.
